Receiving a mail from travelbay travels and staring on my screen I knew I had to get started and here is how I began.
Understanding this feature (problem)
I needed to understand this feature so i drafted some question for a kickstart.
- What is this feature and what is it about?
- What does this feature look like?
- Is it used in the travel agency business and why?
- How is it used in the aviation industry at large?
Direct Competitor analysis (Benchmarking)
- Who are our direct competitors anyway?
- Do they use this feature? If yes where? (Points of implementation)
- How does it influence their business goals (possible assumptions)
- How did they implement it in their product? (Website)
Travel bay
- Knowing what this feature is all about, is it something we may even need in our product?
- Do we need to ask actual users if a referral feature in our product would increase the acquisition and retention rate?
- Would we be risking too extra to implement this feature in our product?
- What are the possible goals and business goals for implementing this feature?
- What would be our reward structure?
